Memorial Message:
Darlene and I dated for approx three years while attending Lincoln. I was in the class of 66 and entered the military in oct. 66, I recieved orders for Vietnam in 67 and to spare her the agony of waiting for any bad news I broke off our relationship. I was wounded in 68 and while home from the hospital I saw Darlene, she gave me a hug and a kiss, that was the last time I saw her. Although our relationship was over I carried her in my heart and mind, she was a very caring person, always with a smile to cheer you up. I just found out by accident that she had passed away and it hit me very hard and after some research I found her gravesite and visited it to pay my respects, even today she is still with me and will be with me until my last day. May she rest in eternal peace.
